Instructions
Combine the tumeric, cinnamon, ground ginger, black pepper, and cardamom together in a small sauce pan with 1 cup of water. Bring the mixture to a boil, whisking frequently.
Once boiling, turn the heat to low, and continue to stir until it thickens to about the consistency of wet sand. Remove the batter from the heat, and mix in the coconut oil until fully incorporated (optional).
Let cool, and then store the batter in an air-tight container in the fridge. It'll last several weeks.
To make a cup of GM, simply heat up your favorite plant-based milk (mine is soy) in a small pan or microwave, and then add a tablespoon (or two) of the batter to it. If you have a sweet tooth, add a little maple syrup, agave, or sugar, too.
